Prof. Dr. Medaim Yanık, faculty member in the Department of Psychology at Ibn Haldun University, has released his new book titled “Whoever Marries Whom Will Be Happy?” under the imprint of Erdem Publishing.
The book explores the psychological, social, and cultural dimensions of the decision to marry, offering theoretically grounded perspectives on the process of partner selection from the lens of family therapy. Addressing gender dynamics, methods of choosing a spouse, and decision-making processes within a scientific framework, the book also blends examples from different regions of the world with the unique cultural context of Türkiye.
Supported by assessment charts, this work serves as a valuable resource not only for individuals preparing for marriage, but also for professionals working in fields such as psychology, sociology, and family therapy.
Prof. Dr. Medaim Yanık’s original contribution aims to fill a significant gap in the scientific literature on marriage.
