The Department of Psychology at Ibn Haldun University is a friendly, vibrant environment with a growing team of academics that bring together international experience and world-class research. Our current areas of expertise include Biological, Clinical, Cognitive, Developmental, Perceptual, and Social Psychology, and these areas are expanding. The clear goal of the Department is to offer all our students an excellent undergraduate and graduate education, and to conduct research that advances knowledge in pure and applied areas to understand more clearly the functioning of the brain, human behaviour, and mental health. This is done through strong, well-supported research programs and the Department has recently moved to a substantial new campus which provides state-of-the-art facilities for both teaching and research.
Our faculty are supported by various grants and maintain collaborative relationships with other universities worldwide, with disciplines ranging from Art, Biology, and Computing, to Economics, Engineering, and Religion. This stimulating interdisciplinary environment creates excellent opportunities for students to explore a range of different directions within the broad discipline of modern Psychology.
In addition to this academic expertise, students have access to the Department library and specialist collections held in associated departments’ libraries and online accounts, amounting to over 100,000 books, and 70,000 periodicals, as well as other resources and computing facilities. Subject societies and seminar programmes offer regular talks from guest speakers too.
