The Last Session of Psychology in Islamic Thought Seminars was Held
The fourth session of the Psychology in Islamic Thought seminar series, jointly organized by Ibn Haldun University and the Association for the Study of Psychology and Psychotherapy, took place.

On Thursday, June 6, in the fourth seminar of the Psychology in Islamic Thought series held at Istanbul University Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Congress and Culture Center, Dr. Taha Burak Toprak, Lecturer at the Department of Psychology, made a presentation titled "A Road Map Essay". In the seminar, possibilities and limitations were discussed on how to establish a healthy relationship between our traditional heritage and modern psychology in psychology and psychotherapy studies.

Dr. Toprak emphasized the importance of mastering the constants and variables of the dimensions in the multidimensional reality model while seeking answers to our questions, otherwise questioning the constants will lead to corruption and not understanding the variables will lead to fanaticism.

Stating that every theory or therapy model has an ontological understanding of human beings and that the understanding of psyche changes according to this understanding, Toprak mentioned that this shapes the form of intervention to the client in the therapy room. Dr. Toprak concluded his seminar by emphasizing that it is very important to know the metaphysical understanding of the theories or therapy models in the field we are in.
