Psychology in Islamic Thought Seminars Continue
In the third seminar of the seminar series, our faculty member Dr. Taha Burak Toprak presented his seminar titled “Multidimensional Understanding of Reality”.

The third of the seminar series on Psychology in Islamic Thought, jointly organized by Ibn Haldun University and the Association for the Study of Psychology and Psychotherapy, was held on Thursday, May 2nd at Istanbul University Prof. Fuat Sezgin Congress and Culture Center. Within the scope of the event, Dr. Taha Burak Toprak, Lecturer at the Department of Psychology, presented his seminar titled “Multidimensional Understanding of Reality”. In his presentation, Dr. Toprak stated that the multidimensional understanding of reality is a method proposal for psychology and psychotherapy studies in Islamic thought, and evaluated the possibilities and limitations of this method proposal in terms of modern psychological knowledge and psychotherapy techniques.

Stating that the aim of our multidimensional understanding of reality is to develop a method proposal to be used to understand the accumulation of a civilization in all its aspects, Toprak added that it is a distinction made to understand which knowledge is a discussion of which context and to show the way to establish a relationship accordingly, rather than a hierarchy towards proximity.

Dr. Toprak also answered the questions of the participants in his seminar in which he emphasized that all dimensions point to the correct knowledge in one dimension of reality when done with the right methods.
